The Shibashi Qigong: Next course - 14th & 15th June 2008

This course provides a firm grounding in the Taiji Shibashi Qigong system, including how variations in breathing patterns affects the Qi flow and the focus of the Yi.

The course instructor, Des Lawton MRSS is a Taiji/Qigong teacher who has been a practicing martial artist for over 30 years, he is a fully qualified Shiatsu Therapist (a Member of the Register
Of the Shiatsu Society) and practitioner of Healing Qigong.
Des has been teaching the Shibashi Qigong since 1989. Through daily practice, and with the in depth knowledge of the meridian system & Five Element Theory that he attained while studying Shiatsu & Healing Qigong, Des has achieved a profound understanding of the Shibashi.

The Shibashi are a set of 18 Qigong exercises that focus on health and well-being. Each of them can be practiced individually, or in any variation, but the set is designed so that each exercise blends and flows into the next. The set is as follows: -

The Commencement
Broadening the chest
Painting rainbows
Circling the arms to part the clouds
Pushing to the diagonals
Rowing the boat
Holding the ball in front of the shoulders
Turning to gaze at the moon
Twisting the waist and pushing the palms
Waving hands like clouds
Scooping from the sea to look at the sky
Playing with waves
The flying dove spreads its wings
Punching with outstretched arms
The flying goose
Spinning wheels
Bouncing a ball with steps
Pressing down in calmness

Advanced booking (before 31st March) - £100.00
Bookings placed from 1st April - £120.00
A non-refundable deposit of £50.00 is required, with the balance to be paid on the first day (14th June) of the course.
